Historic Views of The Year 1982

"The world's gratest ski festival", Skarverennet were canceled.

These are some accidents in 1982:

  • Israel invaded Lebanon to chase the PLO and Yasser Arafat forces out of the country. Many people consider Israel and Ariel Sharon responsible for massacres of 2000 civilians refugees.
  • Argentineans occupied the Falkland Islands. Britain sent troops who ran the Argentines out again.
  • Ski Championships in Oslo - Oddvar Brå broke his stake.
  • "No to Nuclear Weapons" was founded - Ole Kopreitan was and remained a full-time activist.
  • Liquor store workers went on strike for 15 weeks. Norwegian "migration" to "Systembolaget" in Sweden.
  • Akers Mek built ships and oil installations, and repaired ship until it was closed down in 1982. The area gradually changed to the current "Aker Brygge".
  • New strike at the Lenin Shipyard in Gdansk after Solidarity was outlawed. Lech Walesa was arrested.
  • Leonid Brezhnev died.
  • "Sekskronersrødvinen (sixcrown redwine) costed 27 NOK, a liter of gasoline cost 4.50 NOK and a liter soda 8 NOK.
