  • Norwegian Female Team at the football won the World Cup, after beating Germany 2-0.
  • Prime Minister of Israel, Yitzhak Rabin was shot and killed by a Jewish extremist.
  • Actor and cabaret artist Leif Juster and Psychics Anna Elisabeth Westerlund died.
